Suicide Prevention

(ROSP)

Research Lab

Directed by Samantha Chalker, Ph.D., the ROSP Lab focuses on developing and evaluating strengths-based suicide prevention interventions for those experiencing suicide thoughts and behaviors.

A primary goal of our research is to improve suicide prevention care by incorporating voices of lived experiences through participatory research methodology and implementing evidence-based suicide prevention interventions into real-world settings. We particularly focus on working with Veterans and those experiencing psychosis, mania, depression, and serious mental illness.

We believe one can think about suicide while moving towards living an enjoyable and meaningful life.

We are located at the Jennifer Moreno Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center and the University of California, San Diego in San Diego, California, USA.
